The paper has 120 questions for 120 marks. The technical part carries 70 marks, which is 58% of the paper.

Is There Negative Marking in CPCL JEA?
Yes. A correct answer earns 1 mark. A wrong answer deducts 0.25 marks.
Four wrong answers wipe out one right answer. Guess only after one option has been ruled out.
How to Split the Two Hours
The average is one minute per question. Numerical questions in the technical part take more time. English and general knowledge take less.

CPCL JEA Eligibility 2026
A three-year diploma alone is not enough. Three years of relevant experience after the diploma is also needed. The minimum marks are 60%, or 55% for SC candidates.
Production has one extra route. A B.Sc. Chemistry as a major subject is accepted. The experience must come from continuous process units.
