NMDC Steel Executive Trainee Eligibility
NMDC Steel Executive Trainee Eligibility 2026 is a discipline-based eligibility. For most Engineering degrees, applicants are expected to have a corresponding engineering qualification.
Candidates for mechanical are required to hold a degree in mechanical engineering, and those for electrical are required to have a degree in electrical and electronics engineering. Discipline-specific qualifications are also suitable for civil, chemical, ceramics, instrumentation, and metallurgy.
The prescribed qualification for Computer & IT is relevant Computer Science/IT qualifications, MCA, or the appropriate postgraduate diploma. There are different educational requirements for Finance and human resources positions.
The minimum qualifying percentage for UR/EWS/OBC is 60% and for SC/ST/PwBD is 50%, the conditions are given in the recruitment notification.
NMDC Steel Executive Trainee CBT Pattern 2026
The NMDC Steel CBT Exam Pattern 2026 is a 100-question and 100-mark question pattern for the NMDC Steel Test. There are 2 hours (or 120 minutes) for which candidates are given to complete the examination.
The paper has been organized into two general areas:

- General Aptitude – 40 questions

NMDC Steel Executive Trainee Salary and Training
Candidates are selected and then undergo a training of 6 months. On training, the stipend, as per the scheme, is ₹50,000/- per month, plus Industrial DA.
Following the training, successful candidates are provided with a pay band of E-1 (₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000). The basic pay is ₹60,000.
Applicable benefits and allowances may also be provided to employees, including HRA, CPF, medical benefits, PRP and other facilities as per company policy.
