RRB JE Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification, age, nationality, and medical requirements prescribed in the official notification.
RRB JE Educational Qualification
- Junior Engineer: Candidates must possess a three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline or a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering stream from a recognized institution or university.
- Depot Material Superintendent: Candidates must have a three-year diploma in engineering in any discipline from a recognized institution or university.
- Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Candidates must possess a B.Sc. degree in science with physics and Chemistry and at least 55% marks.

The RRB JE Selection Process 2026 consists of four stages:
- Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT 1)
- Computer-Based Test 2 (CBT 2)

- Medical Examination
CBT 1 is used as a screening and shortlisting stage. Candidates shortlisted for CBT 2 will be selected based on normalized CBT 1 scores, with shortlisting carried out at the prescribed ratio.
The final merit is based on performance in CBT 2, followed by successful completion of document verification and medical examination.
