ISRO Scientist Engineer Apply Online 2026
The ISRO Scientist Engineer 2026 Application Form can be filled out through the ISRO online Recruitment Portal. Applicants must choose the right discipline and post code and fill in the necessary data regarding their personal, educational and other details carefully. The application process involves registration, filling in the required details, uploading documents, and providing the bank account details for the refund and processing fee.
ISRO Scientist Engineer Application Fee 2026
Applicants need to pay ₹750 as the processing fee in the first instance. The fee for the application is non-refundable and the fee is ₹250.
The candidates who have appeared in the Written Test/CBT are eligible for a full refund of ₹750 for women, SC/ST, PwBD and ex-servicemen candidates. Other candidates will get a refund of ₹500 with a ₹250 refund from the application fee, depending on the conditions that apply.

Educational qualification & age criteria are to be followed as per the prescribed norms of the respective discipline.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a B.E./B. Tech degree. Qualification in the relevant discipline from Tech or equivalent with at least 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
- Electronics: B.E./B.Electronics & Communication Engineering (Electronic/IT).
- Mechanical: B.E./B.Mechanical Engineering (ME) background or equivalent in technology.
- Computer Science: B.E./B.Computer Science Engineering - Tech or equivalent.

Age Limit
The age limit is 28 years (as of 16 September 2026). Age relaxation as applicable will be given as per Government of India rules to eligible categories. Ex-Servicemen and Persons having benchmark disabilities can get relaxation for service of Central Government civilian employees as per the provisions.

ISRO Scientist Engineer Selection Process 2026
The selection of the candidates in ISRO Scientist Engineer comprises a Written Test/ Computer Based Test and an interview. The candidates need to clear the Written Test to be eligible for the next stage.
The Written Test consists of two parts: Part A (80 questions based on the discipline) marked with negative marks; Part B (Aptitude/Ability Test) marked out of 20 marks, and there is no negative marking in Part B.

ISRO Scientist Engineer Salary 2026
The selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC' in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. The lowest pay is ₹56100 per month.
