Who is Eligible for NCRTC Recruitment 2026?
The educational qualification is as per the post applied by the candidate. Applicants must note that no one qualification is applicable to all 90 vacancies.
A relevant three-year Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Civil Engineering may be required for Supervisor-I technical positions. Some IT jobs are accepting BCA, B.Sc. IT, B.E./B.Tech.Tech in related fields, or MCA as applicable to job position.
The Junior Maintainer positions are primarily targeted at students who are ITI qualified and have the relevant qualifications. For example, a Junior Maintainer (Electrical) must have an Electrician ITI qualification, and for a Junior Maintainer (Fitter), the related Fitter trade certificate is required.

NCRTC Apply Online 2026: Application Process
The NCRTC Apply Online 2026 application process takes place on the NCRTC online recruitment portal. The candidates should first determine which vacancy notice and post they are applying for and then check the required qualifications.
The application process requires the candidate to register and fill in personal and academic details followed by uploading of required documents and make the required payment. NCRTC Application Fee
All the candidates who belong to the UR, OBC-NCL, EWS and Ex-Servicemen category are required to pay an application fee of ₹500. SC, ST and PwBD candidates are not required to pay the Application fee.

What is the NCRTC Selection Process 2026?
The recruitment procedure consists of Computer Based Test (CBT) and a Medical Fitness Test for successful candidates based on the conditions of recruitment.
There are 100 questions worth 100 marks available in the CBT pattern. The details of the recruitment do not mention any negative marking in CBT.
The exam will tentatively be in November/December 2026. Results of the final selection will be subject to meeting the required eligibility and medical criteria and meeting the required selection stages.
