RRC GDCE Eligibility

Applications are restricted to eligible regular ECR and Rail Wheel Plant, Bela employees. RPF and RPSF staff, and employees who have resigned or transferred from ECR, cannot apply. There is no minimum service requirement, but an employee cannot apply for the same post currently held.

The qualification must be recorded in the service register by 15 October 2026.

Post-Wise Educational Qualification

ALP requires Matriculation/SSLC with prescribed ITI or Act Apprenticeship, or an eligible engineering diploma/degree. Technician posts generally require Matriculation with ITI or Act Apprenticeship; specified Signal and Tele posts also accept 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.

JE posts require a three-year diploma or engineering degree. DMS requires a three-year engineering diploma in any discipline. Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor, Station Master, Goods Train Manager and Section Controller require a degree. Senior Clerk requires a degree with computer typing proficiency, while Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk requires 12th or equivalent with at least 50%.

RRC GDCE Age Limit

As on 1 January 2027, the age range is 18–42 years for UR, 18–45 for OBC and 18–47 for SC/ST candidates. Relaxation is subject to applicable rules and vacancy conditions and does not automatically apply when a candidate is considered against an unreserved vacancy.
